Colombian Lucero

Originates in the region of Risaralda in the Western Andes of Colombia at a height of 1300 metres. Here a co-operative of 200 or so smallholder farmers who typically own 2.5 – 6 hectares of land, use a centrally located drying silo and warehouse to mill, grade and export their coffee beans.

It is a full bodied coffee, with herbal nutty tones of dried fruit.

This coffee is best enjoyed from the sixth day after roasting.

Colombian Lucero

It is grown by a collective of 200 or so farmers in the Western Andes in the regions of La Calia in Risaralda department at a height of 1300 metres. The variety grown is La Castillo which is particularly well suited to the Colombian climate. It is harvested from October through to November.

The coffee is wet processed, the beans being allowed to ferment until all of the fruit has been removed, then they are dried on patios or a centralised silo drier.

It is a full bodied coffee with herbal nutty tones of dried fruit.
